His mother, May Parker, died. Mortimer moved his dance and concert venue from Dungle to his mother's residence at 18 Fifth Street. (Fifth street all-Stars)


1961


He was a delegate on the 'Back-to-Africa' Mission. The delegation visited five free states of Africa - Ethiopia, Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone - to explore the possibilities of repatriation. Three members of the delegation (Mortimer Planner, Philmore Alveranga, Douglas Mack) refused to sign the original report that did
